  • August 15, 1973

    Gerald A. Johnson, 32, was found bound, shot, and tied to an anchor in the Ohio River near Petersburg, Kentucky. Johnson had connections to organized crime and other murders in Cleveland, Ohio.

  • December 3, 1974

    Edward Nichols, 21, was last seen hunting with a friend on a farm in Boone County, near the community of Duckhead. The farm is located in the southern part of the county near Gallatin County. Nichols did not return to the vehicle at the end of the day. Nichol's body has not been found.

  • June 4, 1976

    Carol Sue Klaber, 16, was kidnapped on June 4, 1976. She was going to eat supper with friends and was not seen again until the next morning. Carol’s body was found in a ditch on Chambers Road in Walton, Kentucky. Carol was raped and mortally wounded.

  • October 14, 1979

    Lesley P. Sparrow, 35, was found dead in the trunk of her car at a hotel in Richwood, Kentucky. Lesley worked at Anaconda Industries in Louisville, Kentucky, and was known to travel. Ms. Sparrow had been shot several times and sustained blunt force trauma.

  • April 1990

    David L. Snider Jr., 30, was found by a pedestrian walking the wooded area on Interstate 275, near Hebron, Kentucky. The remains were found on October 7, 1999. David Snider was last seen at work in April of 1990, and the medical examiner was able to determine the approximate date of death by a part of the scalp that remained on a mature tree (seedling at the time of death).

    Snider had been an inmate in Ohio prior to his death, and it is believed he assisted two escapees close to the time of his disappearance.

  • May 22, 1998

    Roger Bowlin, 35, was in his home in Petersburg, Kentucky when two unknown subjects entered his residence and shot Bowlin during the course of a robbery.

  • December 15, 2000

    Bari Lynn Doyle, 43, was found dead in the garage of her residence on Travis Court in Walton, Kentucky. Bari had been beaten, and a struggle took place in several rooms throughout the house.

  • January 6, 2010

    Brian Jones, 29, was found on Interstate 275 near Petersburg, Kentucky. Jones had a fatal gunshot wound and was unclothed. Jones was last seen alive in Cincinnati, Ohio.

  • May 29, 2011

    William and Peggy Stephenson were found murdered inside their home located in Florence, Kentucky. A family member discovered their bodies after William, aka “Bill” did not show up for the Sunday service at the Truckers Chapel, or the services held at Union Baptist Church.

    Bill Stephenson ran the Truckers Chapel at the Travel America Truck Stop in Florence for many years. Bill and Peggy Stephenson were both 74 years old at the time of their death.

  • January 6, 2013

    Terry Hand, 41, was last seen in Walton, Kentucky, on January 6, 2013. Terry has been missing and presumed dead since that day. Hand’s vehicle was located at his residence, and there were no signs of a struggle. However, foul play may have led to his disappearance.

  • August 26, 2017

    Allen Williams, 48, was found on North Bend Road in Hebron, Kentucky. It was apparent that Allen was riding a bicycle and struck by a vehicle, causing his death. The driver who hit Allen Williams fled the scene.
